I asked a similar question to yours in an old thread and I got this response from "Minnie the Moocher":

 

 

Most of the time it was bi-amping : a Vox AC30 and a tweed Fender (sometimes a Bassman, sometimes a Twin). Later, there was often a Marshall combo (a JMP I think) around. Very important too, a treble booster (a Range master I think). Add his faithfull iconic '61 strat (with a common tone, for wha effects with the pinky) ... and huge talent.
