The analog mode is really great, and it has a regular digital mode if you care to use that instead. You can get one between $40-60, I think it's a great value.

PS I always wondered if your name had to do with that game. Now your avatar has confirmed it. :thu:

EM-5 is one of my favorites, too. I really have to get mine rehoused before I destroy it.

A DD-3 or 5 with high cut mod probably offers a similar vibe, but I haven't tried it. The Keely mod for the DD-3 looks fascinating, because you could put an overdrive or some other grungy thing in the loop.

Wow, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Ibanez DE-7 delay. Its a digital pedal, but has a great "echo" (analog simulation) mode, which will also self-ocsillate with the repeats turned up. You can get them for about $50 used. Max delay time is 2.6 seconds, which you'll probably never need, but its nice to have.

Oops, it looks like others have mentioned this pedal. I agree that it's your best bet.
