Members exploradorable Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 http://www.tasteofindie.com/photo-600-IMG_1314.JPG.html I expected a more organized set-up. I love this band but the pictures on this site make it look like cable caos. I hope they come to St. Louis this year.
Members joe_lechuza Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 they're lots of fun live. they're not as static as you'd imagine.
Members voerking Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 where would they play in st. louis? doesn't seem like there is anywhere that's the right size for them. maybe mississppi nights....i love the "those who tell the truth" cd, but nothin else they've done has grabbed me the way that album did.
Members Jaymeister Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 There is no right or wrong cable layout. Only the cable layout that works best for you matters.

Members Aster Blistok Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 nice to see another fender toronado
Members marfue179 Posted January 4, 2006 Members Posted January 4, 2006 oh i love this band , shame that the last album is pure {censored}
Members exploradorable Posted January 5, 2006 Author Members Posted January 5, 2006 First I got "The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place (2003)" and I listened to it a few times and loved the {censored} out of it so yesterday I got "Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die (2000)." It too is heartbreaking good. So what album is {censored}? I don't see how this band could put out a bad recording. This is new released old stuff reworked: How Strange, Innocence (remastered & new artwork)released: October 11, 2005recorded: Janurary 17 & 18, 2000Temporary Residence Limited, TRR85 total running time = 48:411. I'll get them both anyway. Soon my precious. Soon...... So how much of the Friday Night Lights soundtrack is Explosions in the Sky? Just that one song?
Members Sir H C Posted January 5, 2006 Members Posted January 5, 2006 It was put well by a buddy who said "sometimes you just have to play loud". That is the key to their sound, dynamics, if you want soft, you have to also be loud.
Members 44ofjuly Posted January 5, 2006 Members Posted January 5, 2006 the tracklist for friday night lights. Most of EITS tracks in there are pretty short compare to their older stuff, but just lightly closer to their older style than the travel in constant series, imho 1. From West Texas - Explosions In The Sky 2. Your Hand In Mine - Explosions In The Sky (with strings) 3. Our Last Days As Children - Explosions In The Sky 4. Ugly Fact Of Life, An - Explosions In The Sky 5. Home - Explosions In The Sky 6. Sonho Dourado - Daniel Lanois 7. To West Texas - Explosions In The Sky 8. Your Hand In Mine (Goodbye) - Explosions In The Sky 9. Inside It All Feels The Same - Explosions In The Sky 10. Do You Ever Feel Cursed - David Torn 11. Lonely Train - Explosions In The Sky 12. The idea behind the rescue was this: In a matter of two weeks they put together eight songs. They spent about half of the time mixing and about half writing/recording. I'd say that for a two week endeavor that was a pretty {censored}ing good job. It was only an EP. Not really their style either.. They're going to put out a new album soon. And the way they have been sort of hiding it from shows [not playing any new song because they weren't "ready"] suggests it is going to be amazing. You will never meet more genuine people than the dudes from EITS.
