I posted this in Guitar Jam and no replies. I'm hoping someone here can give me the info.

So I just picked up a Jam Man Looper. Where exactly would I fit it in my effects chain? Right now my chain goes as follows

Guitar --> Phase Shifter

Phaser --> OD3

OD3 --> Chorus

Chorus --> Delay

Delay --> Amp

I almost always run my Boomerang at the end of the chain, so that any effects in my signal path are recorded when I loop. Think of it like this-- if you have a chorus pedal before your looper and you turn it on, you can record a chorused loop, and when you turn the chorus off, the loop will continue to sound chorused while whatever you play over it will be clean. The same applies to any effect, but if you run it AFTER the looper, than turning the effect off will mean there's no effect on the loop.

For special occasions (recording mostly) I'll put something after the looper (delay or Moog MuRF) to alter the loop AFTER it's recorded.

But usually, it should go last.
