Members Arjae
I am just curious to see who here has both and what their thoughts are. I have a fairly new '70 and one of the production Hot Silicon's (#2 to be exact). I seem to be constantly having a battle of the silicon fuzzes on my board between these two. First, let me say that they are both excellent pedals. And while they both for the most part set out to achieve the Hendrix a la BOG era tone, I can not for the life of me settle on one of them. One day, the Hot Silicon is on my board and the next, the '70 is on there. I am almost at the point of just having both of them on there and not deal with it anymore! So who here has gotten to compare the two and what do you think?

Members warioblast
I believe the Hot Silicons are loaded with BC109C. What transistors are in the '70 ? Which one has more gain ?
Members Wilbo26
How about just keep both on there?

I hate to take up that much space with two silicon fuzzes (they are not exactly small footprints!) though. I am just more curious to hear what others have to say who have or have tried both of them. Members StratStevo
I have both, I have always felt the "Grit" knob on the Hot Silicon did more than the "Mids" knob on the '70, but when its all said and done I would say keep Em Both!
