Members DJLantz444
For Strictly effects? None of them, IMO. The Amp Modeling is what tehy're best at. If you want JUST effects (if you don't care about gain) then there are better options I think. (G-Major)
Members Jaymeister
I like the POD for modulations and delays, but there's not a whole lot of stuff there unless you get the model pack.
Members bdegrande
For sound quality, Vox ToneLab/ToneLab SE. The tube really makes a difference in how it reacts to picking dynamics. For most features, Boss GT series. You can trigger changing several things at once from the control switch or use the pedal to control several things at once. Pod XT Live is somewhere in the middle of those two. More features than the Vox, fewer than the Boss. IMO better amp models than the Boss, not as good as the Vox. If you use a Variax, this would definitely be the choice. If you won't be using it live or don't need an expression pedal built in, the Guitar Center price on the Boss GS-10 ($199) is a very good deal.
