Members gillibi
EJ used a Dumble ODS on few cuts off of his Tones album in place of his usual "lead" Marshall. Can you guys get EJ lead tones out of your Zendrives? Thanks!
Members stereotypy
the zendrive pulls out the nicest and smoothest overdrive tones i have ever heard!! check out there was a ej lead tone thread, i think it is still on page one... there posted the-gainster and he has clips of the zendrive in his signature.. Members stereotypy
i never played the zim. and the samples i listened to sounded awful!!! (the quality of the sample, i guess..) i think i would prefer the zendrive. an article i've seen about the zen at tgp said at pro zen: it is a very smooth overdrive.. and they said for contra: maybe too smooth for some. i like it that way.i doubt any other pedal can give you that smooth creamy overdrive. i always thought the zim would be more on the craunchier side like a tubescreamer or a tim pedal. i know there is also a card for very low gain stuff and the voicing are great.. maybe it comes close. honestly the zim is a pedal i always loved to check out but hadn't the chance yet. The zen can cop zim tones and the zim can cop zen tones, but the zen and zim can't cop those special tones you would buy each for.... ZIM is much better than any sound sample can show off. Zen is indeed an extremely smooth and articulate OD. What would I do without a z key.
