Members IluvRiffs
hey guys. im kinda a newbie.i know how to use the multi effects and all couse i usually play my friends guitar and effects for about 5 months now. so i was wondering. which would be a better choice since i like multi effect pedals. Zoom gfx1Zoom 606Boss Me 50 I wanted a wah pedal, but then i picked gfx1 cause it had 4 pedal, easy to use. so i figured i'll get the wah later on. sepperately. they can be connected right??thats about it that i know of...if there are suggestions, do share. Members p7rak
Boss, just cause I have never liked Zoom's products.
Members bieke
hmmm, from your list I'd also pick the Zoom gfx1, second choice would be the Zoom 606 (with the expression pedal) and last but not least the Boss ME-5, which is a bit outdated, even though it has the best basic sounds and is very dependable you can add a separate wah pedal, nothing to worry about another affordable multi-FX is the Digitech RP
Members eiolenii
i recommend the boss...a solid unit
Members IluvRiffs
would it be better i buy the gfx1 and later on buy a seperate wah pedal? cause i play mostly creed, which Mark Tremonti uses wah. i mean...that would be better than buying built in wah pedal like the 606 right? Members Coach
I think a dedicated wah pedal would be better than an in-house wah in a multi-effects unit. Killer user name too.

Members 2manband
If you're playing a lot of Creed you'll need a pedal with a "suck" knob that goes to 11.

Members booher
I'd go with the ME-50, personally. But I don't do multi-effects, really. I thought about buying one to have at school, though.

Members mightysasquatch
ME-50 for sure. You could run over it and it will still work.
Members endo23
is it easy to find an artist sound? You're not referring to Creed as "artists" are you? Shame on you.

The ME50 is the new junior version of the GT8 (I think of it like that anyway). I think that'd be great starter unit that would prbably survive longer in his rig than the Zooms. But it's all speculation.
