Members Arjae
What kind of company? Musician's Friend and Tone Factor ship to Canada.
Members varialbender
You're gonna have to be more specific. If you're talking pedals, there are some good dealers in Canada, like our own sh333's Axe And You Shall Receive. There are also some US dealers who ship to Canada, like our own UnkleSlam's Tonefactor.

I can't get Musician's Friend to ship via online purchases. I get a notice saying that they are only allowed to ship certain items to Canada. I have never called them, I gave up there. Members ryanspeer
I ship to Canada, but nearly always have the customer emailing me even 2 weeks after the fact wondering where the pedal is. For some reason it seems to take a MINIMUM of 2 weeks to get over the border (actually took 3.5 weeks for one order I had when the post office tole me 4-7 days max). Getting something THIS way across the border never seems to take more than 4-5 days though. Beats me why. Issues like that may scare off some pedal builders. Members supercow3
Try music123. dot com I bought many items from there before
Members Soulgolem
Please avoid music123, I went through their "seen lower price" form about 10 times for the same item, sent them multiple emails, and they never would beat the price though they say "lowest price guaranteed". I think they replied me about 3 times asking me for the link, again and again, and again, and to be sure, I'd send them by email AND through their form, and when asking if they got it, they couldn't figure out what I was talking about or they would just ignore me. Bad company. Francis.

Hey Ryan, Shoot me an email or give me a call and I'll give you some shipping tips to help avoid that kind of thing. Of course it's going to happen every once in a while (customs sucks), but there's no reason it should happen often.

Members Soulgolem
Customs clear rather fast when going with UPS, but prepare to pay big bucks when your doorbell rings. There are some online music stores in Canada : Axe Music La Music Song Bird Music Takes less time to get your stuff and you don't pay customs, but their prices and catalog are not always the best. I've had luck dealing with them. I'm now looking for a DD-20 from Boss, not sure where to order it from, any suggestion (fellow canadian). Francis. Members stratmaniac
I've purchased from Tonefactor, MusicToyz, Buzzfox, and Musiciansfriend with no big issues. Musiciansfriend is adding to their product list of what they'll ship to Canada; used to be almost nothing. Bought from Jim Wagner and Keeley as well (lots) and plenty of eBay purchases, including from Japan. I've had stuff show up in 4 days, and other things that took weeks and weeks. I don't think it's Canada Post, I think it's usually a customs issue that holds things up. I recommend using USPS over UPS; anything I've received UPS cost me a lot of money to "broker" something in that normally wouldn't be hit with duty anyway (just GST and customs' lovely $5.00 handling fee). YMMV.

It's definately a customs slow down, but it is related to how Canada Post does their customs stuff.

If it's a low value item, you might get away without paying anything, but if it's above 60$, have some cash when they ring at your door, could be around 10-20% of the value. Ask for USPS shipping too, UPS WILL charge you more broker fees like stated here.
