Members DylanWilde
Alright check this out. . . Wah pedal technology Check out his diagrams and see what is meant by the Cpb. What is that in an actual wah? Does anyone have pictures of it handy that they can post to show it up front?
Members DylanWilde
Oh, and if anyone has an old 535 Q (18v version) that would be unbelievable. I think I figured out the problem in my wah, now I just need to know which component to replace.
Members MrSage
It's just his label for the capacitor that fits in that spot in the schematic. It's "cbp" isn't a universal label...just something he uses to refer to that cap. If he had a full schematic for a specific wah, it would just be referred to as "C1" or "C14" or whatever. He says that it's "Important that it be large enough to bypass all signal at its (+) terminal to ground. From 4.7uF on up, little effect on sound. As it gets smaller, the sound becomes more of a loudness variation and less of a wah. If this cap is defective, wah pedals sound like volume pedals." Members DylanWilde
I found it, its cool. They are less than a buck and I can solder it in to place. IT should work.
