Members AnthonyM
Hello, I recently got a Dime Distortion http://www.jimdunlop.com/products/electronics/mxr/products/dd11.htmlIt comes with a power supply, I'd rather run it off batteries. The documentation says it takes 2 batteries but when I open it up there doesn't appear to be any place to connect them. Can anyone help me with this really stupid question? Thanks

Members mst3k
Hmmmm. Well I went to the link you provided and Downloaded the PDF manual for the pedal on that page and under "Power" its clearly states it requires the 18V power supply provided or can use the MXR DC Brick, which also has 18V outputs on it. There is no mention of batteries.

Maybe it was a misprint in the manual but I thought I'd check to see if there are any other users here first. I don't use enough pedals (2, sometimes 3) to warrant getting a Brick and the flimsy power cable on these pedals is a disaster onstage. If I can't use batteries I'd seriously consider exchanging this, even though its a great pedal and tons of fun.
Members NappyDugOut
I had one, but sold it. No, it's 18v power supply only! Unless they've changed it and you have an old model, to my knowledge(and thats little) it was a misprint.
