Members mysterybat35
Hi, Is it just me but do ya'll think that multieffects sound too cheesy? No matter if its a Zoom or a Digitech or even a Boss muliteffect, it seems like most of all of the distortion effects sound too fake. I have no problems with most of the chorus or rhythm patches on muliteffects but I never used the lead patches. I know single effects are more expensive, but don't ya'll think that its better to buy only the effects you need? Of course they cost more, but thats a sacrifice you have to take for better sound. What do you think? MB35
Members GuyaGuy
yup. there are exceptions like the Magicstomp or the Line 6 modelers but those are more limited than most universal multis. thing is, the price difference between a good multi-fx unit and a board full of good pedals isn't that much. top of the line multis are $400 or so. for that $ you can put together a really nice sounding collection of pedals.
