Members britt-stinker
I've been thinking for awile about what it means when a pedal's overload(or whatever they might call it) lights. As I've understand until now it means for example that if a pedal doesn't have very much headroom(to be honest I'm not even sure what this means, unless if thats how to descripe how much input signal it takes before clipping/distorting)it will clip/distort with very little input signal. Can it damage anything if it lights alot? I have a moog ring mod, and I really like when I get alot of crunch from it because the output is turned up a lot. But it lights red when it's not even very high. But can it damage anything inside the pedal, if I turn it up where it just lights red the most of the time? Members varialbender
I don't know if you can damage it, I would think not with what you're doing, but the reason it might feel strange to have it turned to a certain position is because it's supposed to work with a wide variety of signals (synths to weak guitars). Maybe someone can verify that you can't damage it with your guitar?
