Members erik92da
I know alot of people use overdrives to boost them, but are there any good distortion pedals that compliment the amp (that dont muddy it up)? Something that would sound good with the amp at cleaner settings?
Members murtaghstyle
a COT50 in front of that amp would kill. Take a visit to Lovepedal since you are in the area, I'm sure Shawn has something in store just for that. Otherwise, check out the MI Audio (Crunchbox I think) Dist. It gets rave reviews here! Members anti-flag193
Fulltone OCD or if your on a budget, digitech bad monkey or boss ds-1. I have the ocd and bad monkey running through my jcm 800 2203, and I like the BM a little more for tight, palm muted riffs but I like the OCD much more for chords. The OCD cleans up much better too. Sounds great with the volume rolled back.

Members Matter-Eater Lad
I've heard the SD-1 is THE pedal for the JCM800's. I used to have a 2203 but unfortunately never tried the SD-1. Probably would've kept it if I had.
