o/t - Dealing with ebay slackers......

How long do you all usually wait before you really start putting the heat on a non-payer? I have one that won a $29.00 microphone from me 15 days ago. They're new to ebay so I tried to cut them some slack as far as learning how the system works and such. My terms state clearly that I am to be paid within 10 days of the auction end, but the buyer MUST contact me within 3 days to let me know how they are going to pay. I filed a non-pay dispute after 10 days and they responded that they had trouble getting "my payment methods to work", which I am assuming is paypal, although he did not say as much. He also said that I would receive payment within 2 days. I responded with "that's fair enough, I will drop the non-pay dispute when I receive payment." That was five days ago and was the last I have heard from him. He doesn't answer messages sent to him through ebay, and I know for a fact because I have contacted another seller he bought from that he has not paid them either. Would you go ahead and drop the hammer now, or would you wait a while longer? I don't think I can file for my fees back yet, I think I have 3 or 4 days more to go, so I may be premature in all this, but if the guy would just respond it would help his case out, but he doesn't seem to want to be arsed to have to respond....

It's not a lot of money, it's just the hassle of if this guy doesn't want the stuff, I want to get my fees back and move on.

Does anyone else find deals that seemingly go south like this really frustrating?

This sounds like a good idea, even though he probably doesn't deserve it. Maybe he'll think to ask for help with paying the next time. The waste of time is the most costly. :thu:

Honestly, it's the waste of time that's the most aggravating to me too. I could have relisted this long ago and been done with it. Heck, at this point, I'd just be happy with some sort of response from him, regardless of what it is. At least I'd know the guy isn't ignoring me....
