Members newstrat60
... specially the big "clean" sound ? is it reverb ? delay ? i'm talking about the solo intro of the song "Marquee Moon", it's so awesome, each note is so full and yeah, maybe echo-ey
Members english_bob
Jazzmaster Fender or Music Man amps ...and nothing. That's it. There might be a little spring reverb off the amps, but I don't think so. Seriously, a Jazzmaster with both pickups on into a clean amp will get you that sound. Members elctmist
Typically Verlaine used a '59 Jazzmaster or a 60s Jazzmaster fitted with lipstick pickups. Lloyd says that he used his 60s strat on the whole album (and he always double tracked his solos). Both Verlaine and Lloyd played through Femder Super Reverbs. The title track, however, features Verlaine on the lipstick Jazzmaster through a Danelectro Twin Twelve amp. DJ
