Members ollenorin
i dont like switchcraft flat ones...like these: i bought these neutrik but they take up too much space: I want something smaller but yet sturdy....what should i get ? Im using sommercable, quite fat. Also, golden vs nickel plugs....gold is more expensive...but is it better ?

Members dot-dot-dot
Gold is inferior for guitar connections - see the cable guide at www.guitarnuts.comThe GH plugs are fairly slim, as are the other Switchcrafts, but the Neutriks are actually (in my opinion) the best, even if they are a little chunkier. Members Jeremy Skrenes
basically even though gold is more conductive, it is more malleable, so after repeated plugging and unplugging it will wear out faster than nickel.
Members dot-dot-dot
Aye - the main advantage of gold is from when you have both plug and socket gold plated, and you don't often plug and unplug them.
Members Cruachan
You're not going to find better quality plugs than Neutrik frankly. However by all accounts the Bill Lawrence cable kits are very good, and the short reach plugs are about as small as you will get. Not right angle though so they may still take up too much space.
