Members rxnet
using a Boss MT-2 metal zone pedal which I recently purchased via e-bay through a Marshall JMP 1987 MKII 50watt original. Seems like alot of noise coming through with the pedal on...could it be a bad pedal or are they known for this??

Members st. fermin
Every Metal Zone I have ever played through has been really noisy, but then again its a ridiculously high gain pedal. Of course if it is so noisy that it hinders the sound while you are playing then it very well may be bad, but with the gain cranked up even if you have your guitar volume rolled all the way off, it puts out a generous serving of noise, especially with the treble cranked. Are you going into the normal or bright channel on the Marshall? Bridged maybe? Cranking the bright channel will definitely aggravate the noise problem. I'm sure that the Metal Zone through a 50w MKII sounds killer though.
