Members misterdetail
Hello. I bought a used Boss CE-3 pedal last week. The on/off switch on it works inconsistently. I have to "stomp" it pretty hard to turn it on or off every time. If I don't stomp it hard, it doesn't change the setting at all. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm not very mechanically inclined, so I'm hoping there is something simple and cheap that can be done. Thanks in advance for any help!

Members sam2lee
Two of my Boss pedals had the same problems. The way I fixed it is to cut a little piece of 3M locking tape and tape it to the top of the internal compartment. The switch isn't bad but probably some leeway of "give and take" appeared after years of use. I haven't had the same problem after I applied the tape, lol. Members duderanimous
Also make sure you're using a fresh 9volt battery or a power supply. A weakening 9volt will cause inconsistent switch problems on Boss/Ibanez type bypass pedals...
