we've touched on this before.

this thread recently brought it up again.

adam jones thread

is anyone making any headway with something like this? it would be nice to see it built into an EB jr volume pedal :D

i realize the VFM from toneczar is there.....but $475 is a bit more than i'd be willing to invest.

suggestion #1

Maybe use a mixer like the DMC System Mix with wet on one side and dry on the other, and the use a volume pedal to control the mix.

suggestion #2

I think it would be easy to do that blender pedal from 20

Aha, well a VCA-controller linked to a 19" line mixer would do the trick but then again: as expensive as the VFM.

But check this:

It's a cache of Loooper's Custom Options web page. He offers a volume pedal-controlled dry/wet blend option.

Correction: expression pedal, not volume pedal.

expression pedal/volume pedal......same thing to me.

i knew he was doin that-- but i know he's done building for a while, if not permanently.

furthermore-- im not sure how the blend would work on that.

i really like the idea of the Xblend.....its just missing that foot control option.

Loooper:

*Blend Expression Pedal Jack 25.00

This option adds a jack so that you can connect an expression pedal (such as the Roland EV-5) to control the wet/dry blend of the signal, and a toggle switch to turn the expression pedal on/off (removing it completely from the signal path).

i like the idea of having the pedal blend optional.....via switch.

good plan mr boggs. now come back and make some pedals :D

i suppose there would be a few factors......

-all in one, or enclosure+exp pedal

-quality of exp pedal

-building into an existing pedal?

loooper.......

enclosure style for $40+

blend pot option $25

aftermarket pedal....$25

im certain if you did it well, there would be a reasonable market for it. not huge, but if you can keep the price below $450, im sure you may get a little VFM biz.
