Members gappie
welcome.never played the clyde wah. but i did try a bunch of other wahs, like the rogermayer vision wah, the picture wah, some of the the morley and dunlop wahs, and the zvex wahprobe (my favorite). but for hard distortion you also could checkout the silvermachine wah. also expencive but very nice. was wondering also if you ever tried the wah from this brazilian company: http://www.amplificadoresmeteoro.com.br/site_english/index_english.htmthey seem to make some nice stuff. here is the wahand dont worry about your english. is not worse then mine. Members Esperanto
The fulltone clyde does not sound good with heavy distortion/ high gain from my experience. It sounds excellent in front of mid gain amp setups. Like a nice 4x10 combo with a tubescreamer. That's where the fulltone sounds great. Budget wahs: I've had excellent luck with the vox reissue and also dimebag wah for high gain Boutique wahs: The zvex wah probe cuts through high gain very well. Also the Teese Wizard wah is excellent. Some wahs sound great in combination with a clean boost. There are lots of combinations that work well.
