Members newstrat60
so next monday i'll jam in a studio with a drummer, but i'm not bringing my Blues Jr that i usually play clean in appartment so for the 1st time i'll play my Strat & Fuzz Factory, Wah Probe, Eternity at "drummer" volumes ... but the issue is the amps offered in the studio are either solid state Fender Deluxe 90 DSP... or tube Marshall TLS602 (i guess its a 1x12 JCM 2000) is there gonna be a big difference for cooking cleans (not distorting from the amp wanted) beetween the solid state Fender and the tube Marshall ??? thanks for your help

Members CS
I'm not too familiar with that amp. Everytime I've jammed with a modern Marshall (or similar) I've set the clean channel as loud as I can get away with and set the pedals for unity gain. The factory is IMHO great with clean amps anyway. From your previos description of the eternity it should be fine. You're never going to get perfect tone in these situations. Members dangerous dan
Try them both out for 10 mins or so with drummer playing, see what you like. Its a real dilemia but I reckon the Marshall will sound a bit better when louder and the fender may get a bit "fizzy" with the transistors in it, but its all down to opinion.
