Members CustomGR
I've had this MJM london fuzz for a while now- but im finding that I can't use a standard boss adaptor for power. If I plug the MJM in- it cuts out power to all other pedals in the chain and wont power up itself.. Could it be reverse polarity or something? If not- what else could it be? and is it fixable?? * Pedal was bought second hand- id say its an older model..
Members andreas
The pedal is most likely positive ground (many boutique and old-style germanium fuzz pedals are), which means you can't power it alongside regular negative ground pedals - as you noticed. You need a separate power supply for this one, and you will of course also need to get the polarity right. Most positive ground pedals will also have reverse polarity DC jacks, but unless you have some documentation or symbols on the pedal to go by, e-mailing the manufacturer is the best way to find out./Andreas
