I always assumed the Who Knows switch instantly cranked the thing into Octave Fuzz ala Hendrix from Fillmore.

 

This thing is easily the most hilarious/ridiculous/awesome piece of gear I have ever seen. I would seriously pay a fee to play with it for a few hours.
