Line6 MM4 Univibe *suck ?*

Ok, I bought the Line6 MM4 for the Univibe, and a Decent phaser/Flanger/Chorus .. all at the stomp of a switch.

Is it me, or does this thing just plain suck asss ..?

Either I am to picky, or they really suck ..

Thinking of replacing all of it, but it is nice having the DL-4, and MM-4 right there ..instead of a ton of pedals.

I had one for a little while. It had some decent effects, though the Univibe was horrible. No idea what they were thinking there. All I could get it to do was a rhythmic thump. Didn't sound anything like a Univibe or anything else usable.

The best cheap Univibe I've found is the Dunlop Univibe Stereo Chorus.

For the same price as a MM4, you could get a Red Witch Moon Phaser which has tremolo, phase shifter and a surprisingly good Univibe sound, even though they don't call it that.

it SOOO does

it's close if you crank it up really fast, but when you slow it down it doesn't stay to scale (if that makes sense) like instead of:

woooohhaaaaaahhwooooohhaaaaaah... it's like:

WOaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaWOaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

I've had the PodXT Live, the MM4 and the Flextone III and they all had the same horrible univibe. Now I have a Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe and it's pretty good. I first had the Dunlop stereo one (it's like a 1590BB size) and it worked good. Then I tried the line 6 way of life and now I'm back. I recently tried the bigger better dunlop one with the expression pedal and all, and it sucked I thought. It was ok if you didn't want really good slow control, but it majorly sucked tone bypassed. The Voodoo Lab one is pretty good, but I'd kinda like to a/b it with the first dunlop one I had (that one had a pulsing LED).
