Members erik92da Posted May 8, 2006 Members Share Posted May 8, 2006 I've never been a fan of multi-effects units, but i've been wanting a pitch shifter/whammy effect for quite some time and I see that there is a whammy mode on the Digitech RP80. I had one for a while and the pitch shifter was okay. It was actually pretty good for being a random effect on a cheap multi-fx, but I definitely wouldn't buy the pedal just for this function. Actually I wouldn't buy the pedal period,hence I sold it. Not to mention that the pedal is made of plastic and it has this tiny rocker pedal that just isn't big enough to feel right. I would find a used XP100 or new WH4 Whammy Pedal, or buy a used Boss PS-2 or PS-3 and an expression pedal. Plus with the Boss pedals you'll also get digital delay features.
