Ya pretty much, except mine rises from 1/4inch at the fornt to 8inches in the back. Also I made it out of 3/8inch birch and 3/4inch oak for the sides. So it is fairy light, but has the right reinforcement for strength. Oh ya and about $30 in materials for the build so far. Still haven't built a cover for it yet. Probable populate the board in the next week with my pedals and then I'll meassure for the spacing for the cover.

I was thinking of carpet as well, but as I am trying to keep this a light as possible, decided not to. I may paint it, but I guess I'm looking for functionality over esthetics. I'll probabel just end up bolting the pedals down and look at maybe finishing the bottom and cover.

What kind of wood did you use in yours? How large did you make it?

Cheers
