Members sonaboy Posted May 9, 2006 Members Share Posted May 9, 2006 so, seriously...what's up? i just looked at a new HIwatt 2x12 cab online and the price tag is $1100. there's no way that making these cabs costs anywhere near this - i understand about markups, but seriously - can anyone with a business background tell me what their strategy is by making a 2x12 cabinet basically unattainable in this way? are they trying to drive the vintage gear prices higher too? what's the deal?
