Was wondering if anyone out there had used the MIDI/USB connection to connect their zoom unit to a PC to use the editing software, etc? I am attempting to use the editor on the G7 and also update the G7 with the software upgrade, but when attempting to connect to the unit I get the message "device timed out". I have read through the manual, and the read-me's with the software, and have done exactly what it says. I am using a MIDI to USB cable, but only have a USB1 port on my PC, so was wondering if that may be the problem.... (I think the e-mail is info@zoom.co.jp, but you can check that at their page...) I've been bothering them a lot and they're always fast and friendly (and effective).
