I find that it makes most of the stuff I play sound rounder and smoother. I can't compare it to other stomp comps because this is my first. I chose it over the Ross/Squeezer types because it has more controls like a studio compressor. The build quality is great, it looks very cool with it's metallic paint, and I love the little switch, haven't seen one like it before. I hear the reesafratzitz or whatever it's called is nice too. I really don't use the Transmorgrifier that much anymore. Don't get me wrong, its a great compressor, but looking for something a little more subtle. Looking to try a Barber Tonepress.
