Anyone find a delay fed into reverb sounds way more natural?

I know the analog/digital debate continues as always. Until recently i always assumed this would sound too washed out. After feeding the delayed only signal from my dd-20 into a Holy Grail or Boss mini rack at low reverb levels it so realistic and allows for my dry tone to come through in the mix much more naturally. Anyone else do this?

Normally delay would feed the reverb instead of the other way around. In room acoustics, you normally have the early reflections, followed by the reverb decay. With pedals, putting a delay in the chain before the reverb can simulate that. Doing the reverse is not going to work to most people's satisfaction - it will sound washed out, with no definition to the delays.

I don't know of anyone who prefers the sound of reverb -> delay, but maybe someone out there does like that. But most folks run delay -> reverb.

Hahaha, not to mention I almost always use delay and really only use a reverb and 2 delays live for effects... so yeah. I guess I missed the boat? It always worked for me.

I'll have to switch them around and give it a shot.
