Love for Lovepedals

I see that many other companies/effects types have threads devoted to that specific line, so I thought it was time there was a Lovepedal thread. A great company with great new ideas and products. And Sean is just so damn unpredictable! I see many posts on this forum about lovepedals, so I thought they could be a bit more concentrated in here.

So, Discuss what you like, what you want, what they sound like, etc. and enjoy your stay. I have a COT50 and am on the edge of ordering an Eternity. Great pedals!

How do you guys like the COT50 - Eternity combo? I like my RC/COT50, but it's a bit too punchy and not open enough at the volumes I play at. I heard the clips of the Eternity on the strat bridge pickup, and I thought "That is exactly what I need."

Jebus, the COT50 with the ETERNITY is ridiculous. I'm considering unloading my COT50 as it doesn't quite jive with my guitar/rig (think it's a single coil player's pedal), but when I run them together it makes me think twice.

You won't be disappointed with the Eternity, I can guarantee you that... :thu:

The Eternity looks great.

I think I may need to upgrade my guitar though (Strings and pickups). It almost doesn't play like a strat should.. Almost plays like a 335. It's sort of punchy rather than uh.. "greasy" like a strat. That could be my playing style, also.

I'm using two different amps-- Dr. Z Maz-18 and a Fargen Blackbird. I get why people dig the COT-- simulated power tube distortion-- but I think I like my OD a little more compressed-sounding, not as raw. And it wreaks havoc with my compressor, as the COT generates some serious VOLUME.

Again, with a Strat I could see loving this thing, especially in that lovely 4th pup position... but with my PRS, it just... sounds a little "rude" to my ears. In other words, "it's not you, it's me." ;)

also considering a MagicBoy vibe in the near future. i love the simplicity and small footprint of that thing. plus the clips sounds sweet :)

I ordered a Cot 50 and got it about two weeks ago, after being advised that it was the pedal for blues.

It was all that, and I found it to be even more. It made the notes from my 62 strat with Kinmans into a 73 princeton reverb just jump out and have such a cool vibe I just could not stop playing.

I then ran it into my Fulldrive 2....that was another fine experience as it added a tonal mix that was never there before.

Thanks to Lovepedal for a new tone that I will love to take to the next blues jam I do in Toledo.

The bad news is now all I can do is think about what to add to my pedal board next.

I picked up an Eternity a little over a month ago. How I lived without it I'll never know.

Now I think a Cot 50 is in my future. I currently run a SHO at the end of my chain always on pushing my amp for a little more gain. Would the COT work in this role or would it generate too much gain?

Look at the website, the Eternity IS, IMO, the PERFECT overdrive.
NOTHING compares to the COT or the FAB, or the newer White Dragon. Sean's ear just keeps amazing everyone!

He always puts tone first. And he may have a line of 200 people who've ordered stuff, but he treats everyone like they are his ONLY customer!

ZVex, Skreddy, BJF, AnalogMan and Keeley are amazing, first-rate builders, that I'm very happy are around during my days...

but Sean approaches everything from a different perspective and his products just bring a smile to my face!

Only thing I will say is that I wish his product line (and his website) were more comprehensive. I realize he goes about things different, always changing things and doing one-offs. But sometimes it's just really hard to tell what does what.
