Members Bunny Manfurr
People...as the name implies...it is a "Factory" for making "Fuzz". This implies that you can make lots of different types of Fuzz...but like all factories, you need to WORK them to get the results you want. When you're making steel items, you don't simply pour molten metal into a building and expect your steel items to come out the other side all shiney and ready to go, right? Because if you did you would be left with a big metalic heap of crap. The same is true with the Fuzz Factory. Unlike other fuzzes, the control is in your hands...not a bunch of fixed components that dictate a designer's particular tastes. YOU HAVE THE POWER...but with power comes great responsibility. Members iwantpedals
i was trying it out in a store today. very loud pedal, never turned up the volume at all. quite confusing pedal. good work
Members endo23
Yeah, it is super loud-- what's the deal with that, Zach? Maybe you coulda set unity gain somewhere NEAR noon... or even 9 o'clock? Whatever, the FF rules and the thoughts above are all spot-on. This thing has SO MANY cool sounds in it, those who lack the patience to find them earn my pity, because they're missing out.
Members Ray18
I saw a FF in a guitar mage like 5 years ago ever since that day I've always dreamed of talking to him on a message board
Members Mr. Poopsicle
I have my amps set pretty quiet and boost them with a super duper to give me a slick clean sound and pump up my blues driver. Some pedals don't jive with my boosting (ie. all Fuzz pedals) so when I turn off my SD2N1 I need a lot of volume on my pedals to achieve unity volume. The option for more volume is always much more versatile than not having enough with certain uses.

I tweaked the Stability knob with my toes while controlling the feedback and playing the notes with my hands. It was a lot of fun to track. Members HMCMedic
I mentioned this in another thread the other day but it's a story worth repeating:)I was in a little store in Renton Washington, playing what was to later become my Fuzz Factory. As I was playing some riffs that I thought were very tasty and sick at the same time, a fellow next to me was checking out some amps. He turned to me and said: "You don't need to be an effects pedal expert to know that THAT pedal is {censored}in broke!"I smiled and said "You are correct sir!"I rushed to the counter and bought it! That wouldn't happen to have been ASharp Music Co would it? I noticed they were carrying ZVex last time I was visiting my parents in Kent. They carry some pretty cool gear, glad they got the wacky stuff in too.

The suggested settings that came with it are pretty much perfect. I keep the toggle switch to the far left with the burn all the way up and the dynamics all the way down and volume and tone around 1 o'clock. According to Dave that setting is supposed to be a $40 thousand amp tone (Dumble?) All I know is it sounds incredible, it works equally well with humbuckers and single coils. If I were to choose a pedal for those "if you only could have one pedal" threads, it would be the Small Fry.

Did you happen to play any of those Santa Cruz or BreedLove acoustics? They have some acoustic guitars in there that would make me forget all about pedals:D

It's not that I don't get it, it's that I don't like it. I owned one for a few months, I tried it in lots of different ways, it truly sounded like crap to me. I probably could have used it as a novelty fuzz on some recordings, but for the price I wasn't going to hang on to an effect that sounds like you just stuck a No. 2 pencil in your speaker. Hey, if you like it, good for you, cheers. But it's kind of like J

Members t_e_l_e
at our last weekend gig (we really sucked) i brought the first time my brand new ff with we. at the sound check i need to setup the volume for the ff, cause never used it at a gig i needed to try. shortly after i turned it on the sound guy started complaining "man, this is noisy as hell, are you sure it's right?"i said "yeah its ok" he didn't believe me and came closer to the stage. i tried to convince him, after some talking he still didn't got it, so i turned the settings of "normal" fuzz to the atari sound, fidled some notes, his look became really stupid and than he walked away but it didn't help that we still sucked, and it was not the sound guys fault

Surely, they said ' Oh Yeah! Of course!' As soon as our set started, the three techs came up to me(while we were playing) asking with worried concern if the amp was blowing up or something!! Too bad you guys sucked
