Members stangme01
I think the Digitech is the X-series one. Which one do you guys prefer and why? I'm talking just sound and features not "DOD and digitech pedals suck" generalizations please, thank you I really like the sound of the Boss, but i have a chance to buy a digitech on the cheap from someone. Members canucker1981
Go digitech. Why not? It has way more options that you'll use for sure. Not even a question. Don't even think twice about. My references include: Boss DD-3, DD-5, Digidelay, Onerr DD-2, Stereo Memory Man, Memory Man, Boss PS-3(has 3 delay settings) and now I have settled on a DD-20. Get the Digidelay. Members canucker1981
Ive been down the delay road plenty of times. Just don't want to see another player waste his money.

Members messeduplilkid
I find a use for every setting on the DigiDelay, I love it. It sounds wonderful, and it has my acoustic guitar running through it. Also, I think its cheaper, which is definitly a plus. (although not a feature ^_^) EJ
Members Armoredfist316
I had a digidelay before my dl4 and i have a dd3 now. They are both awsome. If it was me, i would go with whichever was cheaper. The digidelay has a bunch of options, and they all sounded pretty good, but once i had it set, i usually kept it that way. I got my dd3 for $40 from GC and thats why i am using it now.
Members stangme01
okay so i got the digidelay from GC since they had one used instead of online from the guy. you were right side by side the DD-3 sounds like crud next to the digidelay. Very harsh and "digital" sounding where most of the digitechs ones sounded REALLY nice and smooth. GREAT for metal and even better for cleans. There is SOOOOOO much different settings its gonna be nuts dialing in tons of different delays but it just has a nice type of delay i'm glad i got to try them side by side. I'm really accidentally buidling up a digitech collection of pedals now i have the DOD FX65 chorus, bad monkey, and now this! I was also looking at the milk box cause i need a compressor. I'm NOT looking for digitech either, but they have some REALLY good pedals i don't know why they get so much shit. how does everyone like the DD-20 and DL4 in comparison? Oh and i got the digitech for $60 in like new condition out the door
Members krish
Digitech pedals DO NOT suck. I can't speak for the digidelay compared to the boss dd-3 (which I have ans does the job fine), but I know from extensive testing that the digitech overdrive + distortion pedals blow the pants off any boss one.
