Members GuyaGuy
so i've had 2 boards 1. homemade 2. Pedal Pad AXS both have a ramp starting above the "lip" as it were. but many boards--especially those flat ones like the ATA cases, etc.--use the lid as the board and are about 2" deep. is that not bad design? isn't that too deep? aren't you having to step into your board at weird angles to stomp on the boxes? just wondering cuz i'm prolly gonna get a new board soon and want to know what i'm getting into. Members TIKILOCKEDOUT
I know of people who are really into their health and excercise who like a steeper incline on their pedal boards ... some guys I know have it adjustable to increase the burn they get on their calf muscles ... most start out at about 15 degrees but the hardcore guys go with 45% incline angle which gives the max burn range! If you stick with this incline - and stay on low carbs I'd say you'd be hitting your target by about the 2nd set! Members utsapp89
This is why I use a spray-painted piece of ply-wood. But then again, I only use a power strip with 3-4 pedals tops...
Members murch33
Mine's got a huge lip, and I plan on getting either a Pedaltrain Pro or one of these (the one with the second tier).

Members GuyaGuy
well here's one solution:http://www.custompedalboard.com/tl370.htmthere's plywood above the actual lid, supported by strips along the side walls. i'm thinking of getting a deep case, using the Pedal Pad sysyem in front...but in the back there'd be a raised 2nd tier!
