Members d0zerz
....Just wondering if anyone can give me some subjective comparisons of the two. I know the muff but have never played with the london fuzz... how do they compare?
Members DeuceII
If I remember correctly, the London is based on a Fuzz Face, so generally less gain than the Muff.
Members MrSage
Yeah, he probably meant the Foxey.

I just don't have a whole lot of fuzz experience and the muff's my only frame of reference from personal experience. I was actually wondering about the london...just in general terms....lower gain's good, but what about tonally? Smooth, sharp etc..?

Members fuzzface71
If you meant the MJM Foxey Fuzz...MJM Foxey Fuzz- is clone of the most sought-after seventies triangle knob Big Muff. It has true-bypass, smaller in size, but more expensive than the US reissue.I also had the US and black russian versions of the Big Muff. The US version's tone knob is definitely more usefull. It's more of a fuzz pedal than, the russian version's very distortion-y characteristics. From time to time I love the Big Muff tone. And from my experience, it is hands down the MJM Foxey Fuzz that nails that tone to a tee!Sustain for days, baby!
