Any Liquaflange users?

I had one for a little while. It was a pretty fun little box but I couldn't justify keeping it. I just dont use flange at all. I remember it being a bit hard to figure out at first. There are a lot of knobs and switches to screw around with. I would give it a rating of 8 out of 10.

if you're looking for a good flange that's capable of a lot, not to mention, will save you money, get one of those discontinued Arion SFL-1 Flangers. I'm surprised they haven't taken off in value like the SCH-1 chorus and SAD-1 delay.

I put it and my MXR to a duel. The MXR has been called versatile by many. I tried about 10 settings and the Arion did the same thing. They have the same 4 knobs. The Arion, however, only costs $30-40, has a smaller footprint, is lighter, runs off 9V instead of 18, is actually slightly above unity gain (I love that in modulations), and actually has a warmer tone.

Here's the HC reviews; a solid 9 on sound quality link

You have to have to delay lines or "manual" controls un order to get TZF. Pedals like LiquaFlange and the Alesis Phlngr have a set TZF setting that works alright. The Foxrox Parodox TZF originated the TZF experience, but it's not my favorite flange sound. The Flanger Hoax does the TZF thing better than the Foxrox, but it's even less user friendly and sounds more synthy than anything. Overall TZF isn't really that interesting anyway.

The Line6 Liquaflange is not a terrible pedal, but the Tonecore line of effects just seem so flimsy to me. When I tweak the knobs I don't feel very inspired to anything drastic. If you want good flanging, get an ADA or an MXR, or even your Ross. If you the overly hyped TZF effect, then get one of the others. In fact, I think the only manufacturers that make a TZF function right now are: Foxrox, EH, Line6, and Alesis. Oh, and I think the new PalTheGiraffe Flanger will have TZF, since it has two delay lines.
