Members madmike90
Can anyone give me their opinion on wether or not you think a Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker will sound good in my Jackson PS2??
Members HMCMedic
It will be a good pickup if you are playing Dime's style of music. It actually is a good pickup period. It's very hot (LOUD) I had one in one of my Warmoth Strats for a while. I liked the sound for "Brewtal Gain" I tend to change guitars sometimes when I play live and the Dimebucker was so freaking powerful that I had to adjust amp settings and pedal settings if I were to change guitars so I ditched it for a nice PAF Gibson bucker. Members unclean hands
The dimebucker is bright and sounds better in darker guitars. Its pretty tight basswise.
Members Esperanto
Hrmm..is the Jackson alder? I don't think the dimebucker would be a good match with alder It's a hot pickup...great lead pickup and tight in the bass (as previously stated)...but it can get thin sounding in the wrong guitar...sounds great in mahogany but I doubt it will sound very metal in anything else
Members Esperanto
have you thought about an emg 85 or emg 89 I really like the way they sound in alder guitars and with solid state amps...lots of attack..tight bass...but warm Perfect for Sabbath...old metallica...and Rammstein type stuff. A lot of guys don't like active pickups...but I think they sound great with solid state amps Also, there is the emg89 that splits coils..and would probably sound great with your fuzz pedal
