Members lyricpoet
this fella clearly has a love for chrome- and like a new Harley, his prices for his creations, are in a place of their own (read: astronomical!) I've been looking for a good echo for gigs and had to laugh when I stumbled across this one. So is this fella worth $645? I have an Echoplex EP-2 for the studio and remember paying much less for it only 5 years ago. So I would hope that the toneczar is not only as good in terms of tone but should be able to drive my car after the gig and perform the occasional sexual favor as well... Members (((echo)))
the price has gone up actually i think it's just over $700 now and after you add the angelbaby and exp pedal as most people do i think you'll be around $1100 or so. it's expensive for sure.. overpriced? i'm not sure, that's ultimately up to the buyer. it's something i've been struggling with for months now myself
Members aeroslepperin
me too, but i've just decided that it's too much for me. i mean, i'm supposed to get some big raise in july, but still....over $700 + the expression pedal just doesn't make sense for me right now.maybe next year.......{censored}, maybe i better get on the list now then. Members elctmist
Of course -- logically -- its overpriced, compared to something like a memory man (which has the modulation built in) or even the Moog Delay. But he's created a market around it and he's a one man operation with a willing wait list so he can charge what he likes. But sorry when a delay reaches the kind of price where you could get a nice guitar or tube amp instead for the same money, then yeah that's too much.
