Members Diabolus_in_Musica Posted June 5, 2006 Members Share Posted June 5, 2006 I've never heard a direct drive. I have a burn unit and it definitely doesn't sound anything like that. I'm taking mine back cuz the bass end was just too loose and open on the lead.. I didn't think there was too much sustain on lead channel. But if I kicked in a second od pedal in front for light boost it helped and tightened the bass. But still there are other pedals coming out that I wanna check out w/ a more Marshally vibe. Clean channel wasn't bad, shared tones always suck tho, and like I said I had to keep my bass almost off, cuz the amp is better at controling yer low end.
