Members beezdeez
Velcro (also called hook and loop fabric) bicycle chain links zip ties All available at local stores, although velcro is damn expensive. I bought some extreme strength velcro patches that I use that cost me about $3 for a 6 rectangles (2" x 4").

Members Blungo
Lowes and Home Depot both carry industrial strength velcro in rolls. I think Tone Factor has it in sheets if you need it.

Phil O'Keefe
Bike chain links work for me. I paid under $11 for a chain and a chain repair tool at a local Ace hardware store. I prefer these over velcro, because when you mount a pedal with these as brackets, it STAYS PUT and doesn't "wiggle" underfoot when you stomp on it.
