Members Vatican
ring mod gets a bad rap? I like it once in awhile. I noticed Frantone's got one but it's god awful expensive.
Members PFDarkside
Just got my used Frequency Analyzer in the mail. I love it, but I really appreciate the Ringtone now. The Moog looks cool, but I have no use for an LFO on a Ring Mod.
Members Drumas funk
I would love to get a frequency analyzer, but unfortunately I only have $60 and a need for harmonizing too, so Zoom G2 it is for me. But I do love ring mods, don't know why, I just do.
Members CicadaSilence
I love my Moog. I don't use the LFO, except to get variable rate tremolo, but I love the cool tones I can get out of tuning the carrier frequency to whatever key I'm writing in. A very inspiring tool. Members jonny starky
I have two, a zvex ringtone which is completely spastic, i love it so much. haven't used it on any songs yet but it will be on all our new b-sides for sure. Also have a 70's Gretsch play boy. I've used the Gretsch on most recordings doubling it with a clean tone too.I need a Moog ring mod now.www.myspace.com/starkymusic

Members StompboxMan
Ever since I got a Ring Stinger with it's germanium fuzz sounds it seems my guitar playing has improved exponentially. www.lovetone.com/ringstinger.html
Members stereotypy
because of the germanium fuzz is it important to have the stinger first in line or doesn't it really matter because it is a ringmod?
Members StompboxMan
Yes, first is always good!
Members SpectralJulian
I love my frequency analyzer. It is great for getting into microtonal terroritory without having to change your tuning.
Members lyricpoet
I find my Frostwave usable with any line in- vocals are great, keyboards def. and I can get a unique arco tone for the bass. Oh, and guitar...Who says ring mods are bad/no good? I think they're a standard for a medium/large pedalboard.

To be honest, I've never really cared for trem until I heard what my Moog can do. I've never tried the Supa, and I have no desire for a stand-alone tremolo unit, as the Moog does enough trem sounds to keep me happy.

Members Robzilla
the trem on the moog is cool indeed. i have the moog too (and the lpf too since a couple of days). i haven't found a use for the ringmod in my band, i have some issues with it when playing chords.. (the zvex would solve that yes, but i don't use ringmod often so..)
Members jackpotjewell
I just recorded a clip the other day of messing around with the ringmod. It's not a song, it's just sounds. I was literally just goofing around by myself, but if anyone wants to listen to it here's the link. I named it BallyHoo. It's mostly Moog ring mod, lp filter, and phaser. With some fuzz delay and reverb.LINK
