I'm trying to get some practice with using a delay (ad900) in a more musical sense (timing it up with the music). does anyone have any tps or tricks for doing this? Namely I'm trying to experiment with dotted note value delay times and having a hell of a time setting the delay and the metronome. Too many knobs and buttons, and not nearly enough hands.

Things you need to know, especially when recording and you want repeats to line up beautifully with your drummer:

ms = (60/BPM) x 1000
or
BPM = (1/ms) x 60,000

There are plenty of free calculators online that do the math automatically for you, but all you need is a standard calculator.

Don't remember your high school algebra? Then check out this easy to use online calculator -- it lets you select note values, too:
