i just got an advanced release copy of the new CD by The Bronx.

it's self-titled (just like their last CD, derf...) and fuggin SMOKES.

this one will be for fans of The Refused, The Hives, any motor city punk, Division of Laura Lee, or Vox amps on 11.

You really think 10,000 Days is good? I guess it's OK, but didn't blow me away like the last one. Its seems they've peaked or run out of refreshing, new ideas.

Haven't heard Mr. Beast yet. How does it compare to Happy Songs for Happy People?

Yeah, somebody finally mentioned it - the new Raconteurs disc is excellent. Good old solid rock and roll, well-performed and catchy as hell. Jack White and Brendan Benson work very well together, and the Greenhornes' rhythm section is super-tight. I think some people who don't like the White Stripes would enjoy the Raconteurs, they're a lot different.

I'm looking forward to the new Black Keys album later this year.
