Power Supply Question

Is it safe to use my Boss PSA-120T w/ my Maxon 881? I would like to daisy chain it with the TU-2. Here are the specs of each power supply:

 

Boss:

In = AC 120V 60Hz 9W

Out = DC 9.6V 200 mA

 

Maxon:

In = AC 120V 60Hz 6W

Out = DC 9V 200 mA

You probably don't want to daisy chain the 881 with another pedal unless you get a power adapter with a higher mA rating. Here's info for the 881 from the Maxon website:

 

 

Power Consumption 190 mA at 10VDC / 180 mA at 9VDC

 

 

You're pretty much maxing out the mA draw from both the Boss and the Maxon Power Adapter. You could use the Visual Sound OneSpot or the Godlyke PowerAll to power both your TU-2 and 881 with a daisy chain.

Like SoulSerenade said, you can use the PSA-120 for the 881 if you like, as both power supplies have the same max capacity. But you can't daisy chain it from the TU-2, as the combined current draw would be more than what the adapter can handle. If you want to run both pedals from one supply, you need a bigger adapter.
