Members TIKILOCKEDOUT
The first album I ever consciously went out and bought myself was Van Halen 1 - I was seriously into Eddie doing You Really Got Me and Jamies Crying. ... I even changed the price tag from another record sleeve to make it cheaper! I believe I was about 10 years old The first single I had bought for me when I was 7 years old because I loved it was Convoy from the Kris Kristoferson film. "Rubber Ducky we're gonna put the hammer down!"
Members StratStevo
It was a 45 rpm of The Doors "Hello, I Love You" in the summer of 1968 I think?

Nice choice ... and oddly enough a tune that the Doors themselves thought sounded allot like You Really Got Me!
Members Last Nerve
Never bought a record, sorry guys. First cassette tape was Dire Straits - Brother's in Arms, IIRC. First CD was Eagles - Hell Freezes Over.

Members jackpotjewell
I don't remember which was first, they may have even been bought on the same day, but it was either Beastie Boys License to Ill, or Guns-n-Roses Appetite for Destruction. I lost a lot of my innocence when I saw the drawing on the inside of the gnr album.

Members JakeELee
Before I ever bought an album, I bought Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors" on 8-track tape. Later on, my first album was Bachman-Turner-Overdrive's "Not Fragile".
