I'm just curious. I play a VHT 50 St but I'm about to buy a Frantone The Sweet. other peadls include a Vox 848 wah>Visual sounds Route 66>Keeley SEM Boss DS-1>Digitech WhammyII.

Vox Tonelab SE in the loop used only for Modulation, delay and reverb.

I saw some sweet pedalboards on the other thread. What do you plaug into ampwise??

Acoustic G60T

6L6 so it's Fendery but meaty.

yes...it's got that "brown" tone.

story has it that a guy left Mesa and brought the schematic from one of the Marks with him to Acoustic Control Corporation.

I didn't know this. Very interesting. On the clips you have posted are they recorded through this amp?

I saw this pic and actually went "Oooh!" out loud. :thu:

I just popped my Valvetech cherry last week. How do you normally run yours? I've just been plugging into the channel 1 low input and using it clean, but it's high gain sounds have really impressed me.

Cool color, btw.

Cool, GuyaGuy, a fellow Acoustic user. Here's mine:

Acoustic 250 into TruTone 4x10 cabinet. I love it. Unlike the G60T, this one's solid state. But Acoustic certainly knew how to make great solid state amps, and this one's no exception.

Hehe thanks, love your amp and heater combo too! :D

I normally plug it into channel 1 high input. I've tried channel 2 and jumpering them both together, but right now this is how it works for me.

I've never really tried using the low inputs of either channel, but I will when I have band practice!

yup. they're one of the best deals on the market. got mine for $200. i saw the same one go on ebay for $36!!! yes thirty six!

i think a lot of people assume they're for acoustic guitar cuz of the name and the brown cloth/tolex. but the acoustic amp trend didn't start till much later. mine's an '81.

edit: that is, except for the magicstomp demonstration and the one where i'm shredding. those are all sims. but the guitar on my actual songs are thru the acoustic.

 Yeah, same general series. I haven't seen too many of the later, brown models around. More info can be had here:

I'd guess it's because: a) people unfamiliar with Acoustic probably assume they're for acoustic guitars, b) Acoustic is/was more well known for their bass amps, c) people think Acoustic only made solid state amps, which aren't really in vogue.
