Members rydia is hot Posted June 13, 2006 Members Share Posted June 13, 2006 i'm wanting to get a phaser, and these two are really appealing. i love the phaser used on pearl jam's "given to fly," but also like really subtle phaser sounds. any opinions on these two pedals? i know to stay away from the boss ph3 (that thing is horrible)... Members Yarmo Posted June 14, 2006 Members Share Posted June 14, 2006 IIRC, Mike uses a script 90 and a 45 and 100. I've had, at various times, a vintage 100 and now own the EVH. I really enjoy it for the sounds and simplicity...mmmmmm...4 stage phasing.....mmmm... You'll be able to nail PJ phase tones with the EVH no problem. The script function helps in giving two flavours of phase; script being more subtle. The Boss PH-3 is not a bad pedal in itself, it has it's own charm for certain sounds but you can do better.
