Members endo23
Damn it, you just beat me to jrak... which, really, if you like noise, why not? I like Shellac a lot. Not exactly noisy, but loud as {censored} and absolutely PUMMELING live show. Also +1000 for Yo La Tengo, who do melodic noise better than just about everyone. Ira Kaplan is an underrated guitar genius, IMO.

Members Dharmabum
"That whole thing about coughs being smelly" LOLOLOL They weren't smelly when I saw them, and it was in a tiny packed all ages punk club. Maybe people on the west coast are nicer about letting bands use their showers. Also, I bet girls pick up a way more distinct funk from being on the road endlessly.
