Members fenderguitar
I mean like Boss, Digitech, DOD, MXR, Line 6, etc. I always seem to be reading about someone wanting a $200 fuzz box or a $250 phaser to get that perfect sound. I mean I just have "average joe" brands like the ones I mentioned above and I think they sound pretty good. I'm playing over 25 years so its not like I'm a beginner. Maybe I'm just not as anal about my tone as some.
Members ChitownTerror
Almost all of my stuff is mass-produced. What's your point?
Members Janglin_Jack
Ibanez Tube Screamer, Boss OD-3 are some of the best pedals I have used and are not considered boutique. I am not sure if you think Maxon is boutique, but I think the CP-101 compressor, PhaseTone PT-999, AD-80 Analog Delay are some of the best pedals on the market. I also think the EH Small Stone, Small Clone are cheap and exceptional. Lots of choices that are non boutique. Jack

Members squareking
Only boutiques I own or will shortly own:Cat's Eye Mista FuzzLovepedal COT50I have a Fuzz Factory/Ultra Fuzz clone that I guess would be considered boutique, as it was a custom job from a friend of mine. My other pedals are Vox, Dunlop/MXR, Dano, EHX, Ibanez, Line 6 and Yamaha. I get good tones. I think fuzzes are so quirky that they often need to be boutique. Members Boron
I've swung back to the mass produced sleepers bigtime.... EH USA big muff, Small Stone, Yamaha flangers, Boss RPS-10, Dimarzio Very Metal, EchoPark, DOD FX96 analog delay....you've just gotta sift through the loads of average effects until you find the mass produced ones you like. Members mumford
Sure. I have a lot of Electro Harmonix stuff, they're probably my favorite pedal maker. I also have a Boss Noise Gate and some less familiar but definitely not-boutique stuff, like hughes and kettner. Truth be told, though, I don't buy much of the mass-produced stuff because it's not as sexy and the stuff I've tried the last couple of years from boss and digitech just didn't sound all that good to me. Members Last Nerve
I don't TRY to buy boutique gear on purpose. It just seems those guys are making what's interesting to me.I have a Strobostomp and my BOSS DD3 (AnalogMan modded).I've heard NOTHING like the Screw Driver, and lovepedals are holy. I have a friend who gigs about four times a week here in Denver.Has GREAT live tone too. He has amongst his stuff, DL-4, original 808, Whammy IV, 2in1 and a cheap ass Crybaby I STILL don't know how he gets to sound good.
